Many have embroidery machines for one of three reasons. The first is they want a second income with flexible hours and days. Well, with your own embroidery machine you have that ability to work when you want or can, or take the important days off to be with family, friends, or even just taking the day off to rest.
Embroidery can and does create income and creates more financial security. But even more importantly, it can and does give you job security. The second reason many get into embroidery is to make it a full time job. Easy to do, especially if you start out on the side and let everyone know you are running embroidery. If you have it, they will come for it. Making it possible to build enough work to make it a full time job. A single head can earn you up to 32,000 a year on average. One of the things I tell people who are looking to get an embroidery machine is to keep your options open. So many get into embroidery thinking they may exclusively be doing what they want, but keeping yourself open has led to many success stories doing something completely different than what they thought they'd be doing. All you have to do is own a Blue Sky to already get that perfect high range quality embroidery and then allow yourself to consider what people will come and ask you to do. There are those that wanted to do business uniforms and are now exclusively doing stuff for auto lovers instead. Or they wanted to do infant wear and find themselves instead being exclusively doing horse and riders items. The list goes on and on. Staying open to the business that you may not even consider or know is an option, can lead you to the greatest success. The last reason people get an embroidery machine are for their own personal hobbies. And I'll say this. The hobbies you are doing right now are going to be easier and you'll be happier with the quality you'll be able to put out. And, your hobbies will most likely expand when you are able to do any item you'd like on a Blue Sky embroidery machine. Those who also run embroidery as a hobby often find themselves saving money at the holidays by making the most beautiful presents I've ever seen. Presents that surpass anything you can buy. And a few times it has helped people when their company went on strike, or when their job hours gets cut back, or downsizing. They have something to fall back on and can start making money with the machine on as soon as there's a hint of an issue. Great for hobbyist, but possible financial security if needed. What embroidery does for you is gives you real options, gives you financial security. Whether you are just starting a career or need something during your retirement, and in-between the two. Embroidery can be there for you and give you peace of mind. #BlueSky1501emb #BlueSkyEmbroideryMachine #AdvantageInc #EmbroideryMachines #MachineEmbroidery #DougandJesy #AdvantageIncStore

The Holidays, I remember as a child the holidays brought about a fluttering of the heart, wide eyes watching all the latest and greatest things in commercials and wondering if I'd get even some of what I wanted.
These days I get to hear what others want and need and I am so grateful to get to hear these stories. To get to know those who are either considering or are purchasing a Blue Sky embroidery machine. I am so blessed to get to be apart of so many lives. I'm on the front line daily, taking the calls, reading and replying to the emails, texts, messages and more, helping where I can, or passing it over to the expert (Doug), and it makes me feel like we have built one big family. And a joyful family at that. My heart swells and I even get misty eyed when I think about all the wonderful owners that I have been so fortunate to get to know. Today was one of those crazy days, a day where I blinked and it went from 10:30 to 1:15 and I felt no time pass. That is how much I enjoy what I do, what we do. The dream for so many adults is to have a job they truly enjoy getting up for each and every day. A career that makes their day. And I have that, and I know how rare that really is. I don't know how I got here really. Doug grabbed and and drug me into his world and I have loved it ever since. Long as he doesn't make me Run embroidery, anyway. ha. So, for all who read this, I want to say how thankful I am for you and for all those who own the Blue Sky embroidery machines. Oh, and Doug says ditto... boy, he's well spoken sometimes. hahaha. We've had so many ask for the CS style machine to come back. As always, you spoke and we listened. Making sure we are working to make our customers happy.

Simple, easy and Red Threads are always a joy to work with. Whenever we talk to anyone, we also listen. One thing we have heard a lot from people are how bad Chinese embroidery machines are. We understand where that idea is coming from. Originally, Chinese machine companies were learning and what they put out didn't work well. This was in the very early 2000's. A lot of techs turned their backs on them and walked away without ever looking back again. There is a truth in life that comes to my mind. You get what you pay for. If you are looking for a very cheap embroidery machine, the reality is they put cheap parts in and on them so they could still make a profit. And, you'd be right to be careful of ever considering those particular machines. They sell what are known as a base models. The cheapest parts combined with putting it together as fast as possible. Leading to a machine that won't work well. Just the other day, one person referred to their cheap Chinese machine as a boat anchor that sits in the corner. That breaks our heart. With a Blue Sky, we work hard to ensure the parts that go in are equal to or far superior to other big brand names on the market that aren't made in China. We watch every single item that goes into our machines and ensure quality, it comes with a price tag, but that's how you know you are getting a quality product. There isn't one part on this machine that isn't upgraded as far as possible to keep the integrity of the Blue Sky machine running superior production. You have guarantees with a Blue Sky. Simple things like having parts in stock here in the USA that can be shipped right away. You have a team that will be behind you every step of the way and will be there for you. You have real training and real help for free. We're only happy when our Blue Sky owners are happy. Don't take our word on it, ask our owners. Join our Blue Sky embroidery group today. Oh and we're now on Meta Threads!
We put a camera system on our Blue Sky embroidery machines. You ask and make suggestions, we listen.
There's no one more important than our customers and our potential customers. When either give us suggestions we look into it and see if it will work on an industrial machine. See if we can incorporate what the people want for their machines. We'll be making a few videos and showing off this new camera feature, as well as outlining all it can do, by the end of May. But don't worry, if you don't want a camera system on your machine, you don't have to have one. We will carry one with and one without. This is a question I get asked often. The answer is simple, Absolutely there's a market for embroidery.
Embroidery used to be a limited field back before 2010, mainly used for work garments, promotional items or uniforms. Back then shops had the 6, 8, 10 and up to 30 head machines in their large shops to keep up with the demand. In today's world those shops still thrive and are able to give great deals on big corporate orders. But, in today's world embroidery is so much more than it used to be. So much more than the corporate items needed. If I were to sit and write out every where embroidery is used, you'd be sitting here reading for hours. One area that is needed are the smaller pieces of embroidery. Single item or items less than the minimum the bigger shops demand. Those people who just want a few items embroidered often have no where to go for great quality embroidery. You can charge more for these smaller jobs to help keep your finances on track to work exclusively for yourself. Other areas are the fashion world. Taking garments you can buy off the rack and turning them into exclusive items for sale. There are large companies that sell wholesale and you can buy the items offered and put all your touches on them and make them a work of art. Speaking of art, do you know many artists are now using embroidery machine to either embroidery their artwork on items like hats, shirts and bags. And some artists use embroidery within their art work. Mixing mediums to create new artwork. Some make jewelry with their embroidery machines, holiday ornaments. The world of embroidery has taken on many many little sub cultures of embroidery. Some only do hats, some only do baby wear, shoes, items like umbrellas and suitcases. Some do embroidery on the various types of animal gear, or automotive, or motorcycle items. Some only do items for nautical machines. Some are buying and making custom seating. Housewares, like throw pillows, or embroidery on towels, blankets, sheets, table cloths, etc. We have a few fashion designers who work exclusively on their own dress lines, shirts, or pants, and embroider on the garments. And I keep waiting to see how people will use embroidery in the nail designs or make something for glasses. Our only limits with embroidery are our own imagination limitations. Some machine owners are exclusive to their own online stores and some are open for customers. There's a huge market out there waiting for you to make the move. Make great items that everyone will love and want to purchase. And remember, never undersell yourself. A: There are a few items I suggest to purchase with your Blue Sky embroidery machine.
1. The first is crocus cord, this is one of those tools that Everyone should have in their toolbox, regardless of brand or size machine. This little item can save you hundreds of dollars over the lifetime of your machine and will probably last as long as well. This is a cord of very fine sandpaper that can go into a hole in the needle throat plate and buff out any light burs or scratches that could cause the thread to shred. Also works well for pressure feet. We sell this item and it can be easily added with your machine. 2. Second, sandpaper, 800 to 900 grit. This is something many might have but if you don't, add it to your machine order or pick some up at the hardware store. The sandpaper will be used for the rotary hook, in case a design or material deflects the needle into the side of the rotary hook. 3. I, always, suggest the oil bottle with the brass spout. Doug, as a repair technician, used this exact brand of bottle in his daily repairs (oiling every single machine he repaired) and the bottle lasted him up to 3 years. No other bottle we ever tried stood up to the wear and tear this bottle does. In normal hands, could easily last far longer. The oil bottle comes with oil in it as well as one refill oil bottle. 4. Next is having the right Grease on hand. This is important, do not use spray grease or Lithium based. A lot of people have tried them on bigger machines but it is hard to get it in the correct space. Having grease on hand is important and can help keep you running. We sell a great all purpose grease that can be used in our store. You can pick it up at O'Reilly's automotive store. We sell Mystik multi-purpose grease. 5 & 6. If you don't have a tension gauge for top thread or for bobbin, they are really both worth having. They can help a lot. You can help set your tensions easily with the gauges and get your embroidery back to perfection easily. The top tension gauge helps with the top tensions, everything above the needles. The bobbin tension is for below and tests your bobbin tension. Ensuring your tensions are on point. 7. You can never go wrong purchasing a few extra bobbin cases, the average lifespan of the best Towa brands are anywhere from 6 months to a year (cheaper brands around 2 to 4 months). One bad drop can sometimes lead to a wobbly, no longer perfectly round bobbin case, which can cause issues. All of these will help you continue on in your embroidery and help save down time. You can add anything within our online store with your machine sale and you won't have to pay for any shipping. https://www.advantageincstore.com I have had people tell me 15 needle machines are too big for them, that they'd never need that big of a machine. I, also, hear the woe of of those who started with a one needle and then going to a six needle then going to a ten needles, etc. Then having to find people to purchase these smaller machines when they quickly grow out of all them. Money spent that they can never fully recuperate. They tell me these stories as they finally step up to a 15 needle machine.
These embroiderers find that they want to branch out to do this or that and run into the problem that the machine they have won't run the item, or the sew field isn't large enough. The other issue comes with the machines that claim to have a large sew field but you have to flip the hoop, which leaves a thick area in the middle of the design. They quickly become disillusioned with the smaller machine they have and want to move up to a bigger machine again. Only to end up in the same place again within a short period of time. When it comes to hoops, there's No flipping the hoop with a Blue Sky embroidery machine. The Actual sew field is 600mm x 400mm. That's a smidge over 23 1/2 inches by 15 3/4 inches that you sew all at once without ever flipping a hoop. And you can even use the 17x16 Mighty Hoop with a Blue Sky CBII! Embroider what you want when you want. The question is never, can I embroidery on this item, because the answer is yes. The only question is how to run it, hoop it, float it, pin it, etc. Want to do shoes, not a problem; hats, of course; thick vinyl and leather, absolutely. Looking to run on chiffon, silk, satin, positively. All in-between, definitely. The other thing I hear people tell me is the machine has too many needles, they don't need that many. If you are used to only 10 needles, you can use the other needles to keep set up for other projects. Maybe you normally use sharps, so 4 needles could be ball points (or visa-versa), and 1 needle could be set up for metallic or leather, or any specialty needles for either purpose. Giving you the option of not having to change out needles every time you do something a little different from your normal. |
